• My son's X wife refused to follow a court order for access to his kids. Repeated attempts to see the kids were blocked by the X. He took her to court in the Family court system, in Cambridge ON, before Judge P. Hardman. He was told that to get a finding of contempt, certain conditions had to be met:

  • There had to be a valid court order issues by a court having jurisdiction
  • The person charged with contempt had to be aware of the order
  • The person charged had to be informed that they were in contempt and given the opportunity to correct their actions
  • The person charged had to continue to violate the order.

  The judge stated the following:

  • She had issued the order, and it was a valid order
  • She had directly spoke to the mother ensuring that she understood the order
  • The mother was informed that they were in contempt but did not change their actions
  • The mother continued to violate the court order

  The judge then went on to say that while all requirements for a contempt charge had been proven, she the judge did not believe that a finding of contempt would advance the case in the family court system, therefore she would not issue a finding of contempt. She also continued on to say that she didn’t think a finding of contempt would convince the mother to obey the orders anyways, so she wasn’t going to waste her time issuing a finding of contempt.

  Armed with the assurance that the court system would take no action against her, she made life Hell for my son, he hasn't seen his kids in over 3 years, and the same for me. Just to give an idea as to what this person is like, we requested, through the lawyers, that my wife have the opportunity to see her grandchildren before she died, the bitch said no. I lost my wife almost 4 years ago, she passed away without being able to see our grandkids.
