do status review ASAP every 6 months from date the crown order was made. -- as child not adopted keep fighting. And other parent of child still has a chance. Do lots of good things without telling them. Just do it with proof


Grandparents in Ontario do have rights. -- this is an example. You signed your child over. You could of brought your child to your mother. They see you didn't do this, so your mother was not first on your list.

You and your mother need to call your local legal clinic and or have your mother start the process with Cas they can place your child with her even if she is crown ward she just may have to pass there assessments now at this point

Don't listen to woulda coulda shoulda do what ever you can but seek out legal advice your allowed free consultation

   

All I can say is it is about time. This gives me some relief as the crownwardship with no access for the purpose of adoption is what the society is trying for right now. they have until March 4th 2016 and our next date for court is Feburary 8th 2016. Hopefully some justice will be served.

My son who is 17 told the and my self he would like to come home, but they through in his face you can't and if you do we wont give you any money. He has overnights . He is not adopted he had already been in two foster placements because he told the he is acting out to come home. My daughter is in a group home. Hey i was a crown ward until i was 21 years of age i had my firat daughter while i was still in care but not a foster home. And they took her and gave her to ger grandparents who never let me see her. And cas gave themmy file of when i was put i care and with out asking first is that legal. And now my second daughter was also given to her grandmother amd now she want the same file that the other grandparents were handed with out my consent can i take them all to court for this its illegal is it not. I told them they werent allow to just give ppl my file im not even allowed to have my own file so what do i do?

   

Suggest including the phrase "change of circumstance" somewhere, plus adding references to the introductory sections of the CFSA that outline their mandate and responsibilities with respect to "best interest of the child" (as opposed to the best interest and bottom line of CA$) and the "safety" of the child. 

A question is, who is qualified to reassess "safety" so that a judge will respect and defer to that expert that (for example, a certified psychologist who is a member of the college of psychologists and outranks the opinion of a dissenting social worker).

Failing that, the reassignment of custody to a family member or friends CAS has "no concerns" with and checks out fine on a criminal record check. (This causes CAS to lose their "protection" mandate; so the cannot ignore this opportunity for the child, as it is in conflict with their mandate.)
