After almost 10 years of battling for visitation with my kids it seems karma is finally coming my way. My ex wife played the (fabricated) "dead beat dad" card for all these years and every time I'd have to go to court and prove that I'm the stable parent. Each time in court I got more time with my kids and less financial support given to her (bc she is choosing to be underemployed for Govt assistance).

Finally, at the beginning of the summer my kids stopped being scared of their moms reaction and told me the truth about what they have been subjected to in their moms home. Supposedly she is taking me to court for keeping the kids from her and I truly hope she's not bluffing. It took 10 years but I have piles of evidence RE: her poor life choices and 3 kids that are ready, willing and begging to tell the court the truth about their mom and the living situations they've been subjected to. It's harder for a dad to get custody because all the bad dad's give us good ones a bad rap.


The most screwed up part for me is now that the tables have turned and the truth is finally coming to light she is claiming "parental alienation" which is what she's tried to do to me all these years!! She's insane and it sucks BUT I have worked this thru the slow ass court system and it is finally going to pay off! All I can say to anyone is get everything in writing RE: visitation and follow those Orders to a T. My ex won't listen or compromise until the courts get involved. It's expensive and takes too long but unfortunately that is the option us dad's have to use

Again, too many bad dad's give the good ones a hard way to go! I'm glad your kids are okay!!

I am in the same boat my x wife has called me a deadbeat dad many times but yet I have asked her many times to have more time with my son and I get told I'm not responcible enough. Thing is I have a place for my son his own bedroom clothes bath ect. I have even had my 6 yr old put in a behavior centere for saying he is gonna kill himself and I get an op put on me for it it was dismissed but its still bs I do all of this for my son and get told I can't do something with my son where is the best interest of children gone
