Jeff Wise cross examined my husbands ex-wife and we are going to have the transcript framed. I think he was worth every penny and what he got us for the short time we could afford him was worth it. I think you didn't like him because you were on the receiving end of his wrath. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but coming from a perspective where he was helping a father, which was our situation, he is worth his weight in gold. I am not trying to convince you, you are the one that posted the negative attack against him and I am merely stating our experience with him coming from a father's perspective. Also, of course lawyers are going to tell you not to file a law society complaint because they don't want complaints against their friends. You need to ask for yourself and the best interest of your particular situation not in the best interest of your lawyer. I highly recommend a law society complaint if what you say happened to you is true. I wish you nothing but the best

We filed a complaint against the opposing law firm when Jeff was our counsel and it helped us tremendously. If you did not like the way Jeff treated you, he was doing his job for his client. My husbands ex-wife cannot stand him and we have had to move to a different court room because Jeff and the judge did not see eye to eye but that happens in many cases with many lawyers. Jeff is very smart and brilliant man, even though he isn't winning any friends. Again, I'm sorry you had a bad time with him but he was doing his job for his client. This sounds like the behaviour that he is best known for and that man is going to be a judge in the next couple of years. He single-handedly change the law for fathers and we can access to extend the status quo from Friday to Sunday to Friday to Monday mornings. I could go on and on with this and go back-and-forth with you but I am not willing to do that. I hope and wish for success for your husband for his children and it is unfortunate that you were on the receiving end of Mr. Wise.

I would absolutely stay away from Wise Walden Barkauskas. 

They are some of the most unethical lawyers in the city. Cynthia Scheible in their practice is a disgrace. Late filing of orders to ensure we can't respond, "accidental" emails to therapists claiming to have Dads consent to release psychological tests, you name it. They will pull it. 

They are opposing counsel for my DH and have been admonished - on the record - repeatedly by the judge for their behaviour. Twice in our 8 year file we have received substantial awards for costs (3k once and 1k once) for their unethical conduct.
