Recommendations The current parenting schedule which the children in this family court matter are being subjected to must be thrown out in its entirety and replaced with a completely new parenting schedule which is fair, just and truly supports the best interest of the children. A new parenting plan which meets most if not all of the criterion outlined and analyzed in this report should be put into effect ideally at the consent of the parents. The mother must be made to realise that the current parenting scheduled in causing emotional and psychological harm to the children and is destroying her own relationship with them. The children who are now 12 and 14 years of age must be allowed to have significant input into the parenting time they spend with each of their parents. If the parents cannot agree on a more suitable parenting plan and, if this matter were to go back to court, both children must be allowed to provide testimony to the court either by affidavit, by video recorded statements or by speaking to the judge in person in chambers.
