My son was 14 when my ex to him to the states. We had not quite finished our divorce agreement but both the separation and divorce agreement stated that unless by a court order or my permission was granted she was not to leave the province of Ontario.Well she had neither and went anyway.

After speaking with my lawyer,in Ontario, who stated " There is nothing we can do ,all she is is in breech of the agreement, I decided to stop my child support payments. After a long divorce I didn't have the money to continue this fight legally and after getting a call from my son telling me how great it was there and he will never have to be in the cold again I felt defeated.

Yet again she had gotten her way with no consequences.

So here it is two and a half years later, I have not seen my son in this entire time and I have been served paperwork from the states informing me that I need to pay her two and a half years of back pay. The judge here is telling me that I will have to pay this because child support and her leaving the country are two seperate issues. Am I wrong to disagree with this satement and is there anything I can do to argue the judges statement?
