There should be no money exchanged for taking care of your children, unless there is daycare and extraordinary expenses, which both adult parents should be able to work out. When you introduce money into the equation in Family matters, greed sets in and some sort of vengeance seems to come into play. The courts should be there to enforce that the children have both parents in their lives, not the enforcement of money, which allows the other party to take advantage of the situation. REFORM needs to happen in the laws and the justice system, and careful consideration with for site should be taken to ensure people are not stripped of their rights and that what a Country's Constitution was built on is enforced. It is frustrating when these issues become gender biased because one gender is discriminated against, and the general public is not aware, and the media portraits what they want the general public to know or hear. Not sure why this is or what the goal is, but this is effecting millions and the only way to try and fix it is to have the laws associated in these areas REFORMED and to have the courts on a watch dog program and to be held accountable for their actions and decisions making.

   

Why are ex wives still getting alimony? In the days when women mostly stayed at home with the children and did not have a career or job, they needed alimony to help them get established into the work force. Now with "equality" and women have careers, jobs, or their own business, why are they allowed to get alimony as well. I am beginning to think the laws are about women and fear of opposing women - time this stopped and fairness becomes the norm.

   

Child support is taxed money that isn't paid by the recipient and also doesn't have to claim the support as an income. Get this, the reason Fro says the support isn't an income is because the monies have been taxed. Lmao. 

Family court needs to be abolished, keep divorce court. This would make mothers have no incentive to steal children from their fathers. It would help in so many things, like gangs and the historic murders in Toronto, teen pregnancy, I would continue but they know this already. Even help with government spending!

   

Now I just went through the child tax part.. If you have your children 40% of the year and getting documents that say this helps then both parents get child tax they will be different amounts but she doesn't get the full amount if you have shared custody. We just found this out. As our family court order said she will continue to collect it but after I invedtigated the family law act is lower than the tax law act which allows the tax law to determine this not the family courts. We just got a years back pay for our loss..

The year my partner separated from his ex I faught for 6 months and didn't give up on him claiming her and the kids the year of separation as he left in July.. The CRA tried to tell me otherwise but I explained to them it is unjust to a father to support the family over half a year and not claim them. This was accepted.

   

Government in Canada is for women and children. You just have to adjust to this reality as a father. You are an excluded minority and almost no one cares. The good news is that Canadian authoritarians are among the most gentle and most incompetent in the world. This means fathers and men can have an experience with authorities in Canada that looks libertarian, even while politicians and believers babble on about inclusion and socialism.
