Father Rights Canada- When I proposed a week on week off, she came back to take away more time with meSaturday, November 20, 2021 - Fathers - Not disclosed - Fathers Rights Canada |

Hi everyone. I'm at the point of devastation. I got divorced in 2016 and got my child 33% as I didn't have enough money to keep the courts going. I have wanted to be more involved with his schooling. His mother is unreasonably denying me an increase in time and do a week on week off basis. I feel this is a way for her to keep getting child support. I just want to help him with school and not miss important memories. There's nothing to state why I can't. There has been a material change as well on both sides. My ex wife is remarried and has a new baby coming soon. My spouse and I have a new child who's 5 now. When I proposed a week on week off, she came back to take away more time with me. Turning it from every weekend to every other weekend. She's doing this so my 11 year old can spend time with his new sister being born in December. As a result he will see his 5 year old brother almost never. Why would the court give one child more priority (his new sister) over his current brother. My lawyer says that the judge won't take away more time from me. But I'm scared. She seems to get what she wants. We're both capable and I just want 50/50 and I hate how everyone is saying it's not going to happen or it's really hard. He's half mine. Half hers. We live in the same town and I can take him to school or activities. |
