It is unfathomable the agony that eats at you in these matters. It can turn the most loving person sour. To forget and let it go is to just give up she/he wins and your children are gone. It was the eating aggravation I felt if I tried to give up that kept me going.

I couldn't just stay in bed or drowned my pain in pleasures. It always ended with the aggravation making me just keep trying.

I don't know the answers but sometimes the pain is what keeps us searching for them.

I applaud all the fathers fighting for their kids keep going and to all the step moms well done.

I am unfortunately now a broken woman after 3 years of being falsely accused of beating children, sexually molesting children, neglecting children, leaving children home alone, being followed 24/7 by the ex , her trying to run me down when I was pregnant and just recently trying to ram me when her own child was my passenger.

I am done I am broken, there is no support for us in the courts or with social services

I don't get to see my baby this week because of a storm, so now I have to wait another week, on average I see her for one hour every two weeks, while I'm being watched by two social workers and it took me ten months to get that, I keep asking if I can take pictures because I have permission from the courts and the supervised access house still says no because they don't allow photos, I'm not aloud to even give my child a gift for security reasons (there might be a bomb in it or something who knows why) this whole thing is the most unfair and ridiculous bull crap I have ever been through in my life, (No wonder fathers give up!!)

How am I going to get my child use to me when she's being taught that the mothers boyfriend is the father and the real father only get's one hour a week and most of the time something happend's and its one hour every two weeks, I didn't do anything to get treated like this!!, all I did was have a baby with someone that's immature and hates me and will do anything to punish me because I wouldn't put up with cheating and lies........... sorry for the rant but this sh*t is really starting to get to me big time.

My ex and I do the 50/50 thing.. So many People snubbed their nose at me for letting my daughter see her dad half the week.. We do a crazy two day here three days there, back and forth.. Nicki Pool I agree Jamie! Their dad doesn't live too far from me and both homes are familiar. I couldn't imagine not seeing my kids for a whole week so we have that same arrangement you do. He's not perfect but I choose my battles and don't nit pick him on anything and everything. Compromise is all about being an adult. Immature women make me mad.


Christopher S Blakeslee My daughters mom & I do the same...50/50 custody...5 days on 2 days off & visa versa...our daughter is loved by both parents & she loves both parents. My daughters mom & I are also friends and raise our child in separate homes...but as a team. We split daycare & healthcare. Our child always comes first. It is how it should be!!


Naji Wench Good for you, Jamie! And on behalf of your children, thank you for allowing them time to know BOTH parents...they are stable, they are loved, they have two wonderful homes and they will grow up to know that you and your ex work together to make their lives the best you can.

I have been watching with keen interest the recent campaign by men's human rights and their posting of the "don't be that girl" flyers. It's interesting to me that your police department on one hand seems to support bias against men through its own "don't be that guy campaign" yet is befuddled when citizens campaign against violence against children and babies.

How can it be possible that as a law enforcement authority you are unaware that women abuse men, women abuse children, women rape men and boys, women molest children and that violence, more specifically sexual violence is a human problem not a male problem. Perhaps a refresher course in what the profile of a sex offender is in order for your department. You could start by googling "female teacher rapes school student" and see how many hits pop up. Could it really be true that a woman could rape a child? I know as a law enforcement specialist you should be in tune with what a predator looks like. The truth is it seems as though your department missed the boat on this one. The predator isn't always the drunk guy at the bar who is out to rape your drunk daughter, sometimes it's your son's fourth grade school teacher mrs. Jones who is getting sexual gratification by performing oral sex on an 11 year old boy.

Are you getting the picture now of why your campaign is offensive? Do you realize your threats to charge the posters of the "don't be that girl campaign" is the exact knee jerk reaction expected from a big bad tough police department. Now your new target is human rights activists? Do you not see the Hypocritical nature of your department? You are supposed to protect and serve yet when a group of human rights activists attempt to point out your bias against men your response is to bulky them and place them in fear. To this is say "Don't be THAT police department". It's not very becoming of you.

In closing I would like to say that for 22 years I watched my father leave for work as a policemen. We didn't know if he would come home from his shift. Some of his fellow officers didn't always come home. I have great respect for those that uphold the law, except when you attempt to bully and keep citizens in fear. I listened to my father tell stories of the job for probably 30 years. Granted he worked in an area of Philadelphia much more dangerous than Halifax but never once did I get the impression only men were criminal and only women were victims. How could it be your department thinks otherwise?

I would like to ask your department, on behalf of The Fathers' Rights Movement, to stop bullying men's rights activists and stop your biased campaign against men.

The Fathers' Rights Movement I would change the entire system as to how civil court operates. Preponderance of evidence is a joke. You could take the same exact case and evidence present it the same exact way in front of ten different judges and get ten different rulings.

Most people, unless they do massive research ahead of time, don't even know what "preponderance of evidence" is and it seems to be conveniently swept under the rug. Most men are so stunned from allegations and court orders that have come out of left field that they barely have time for their head to stop spinning and get legal counsel before their court date.



The Fathers' Rights Movement Each time a DVRO is put before the court... the person that submitted the document speaks first... Then the judge reads the complaint... Not the Judge reading it as the testimony is being delivered. That's crazy. Statements must match the paperwork. ~ AK dad ~

Is actually disgusted by the amount of fathers that are being unfairly treated by the court system and being denied access to there child my partner included. It is heartbreakin to watch someone.go through the pain of not being able to see/talk to the child and siblings asking why they cant see eachother how do you explain this to a three.year old xx

when it comes to destroying someones character with a womans scorn that shouldn't even be brought into a court because a woman's scorn damages the father but in all reality the children more so... a lie detector test should be issued before any statement against the father is issued. It's not rocket science you get caught lying you will do the time.


Fair judges

Start at presumed 50/50 custody with no child support.Parents have to split common expenses.School,medicine etc.


Seriously in a divorce you have to split assets 50/50 that's where it starts and children are 100x more important.

judges should have hearts. maybe a little understanding for the man's (ncp) financial situation. my fiance had court wed for child support. he tried to explain how he couldnt afford it and the judge upped all the amounts he has to pay. we were paying most of our bills and getting by on maybe $100 a month. with the new payments we calculated to be -$300 to -$400 a month. he already works 7 days a week and even if he was able to find a higher paying job (not likely) they would just up his payments again. its a scary situation when the possibly of jail is getting more and more likely


Eliminate Judges working to gain federal entitlements. Utilize judicial wise citizens to listen to and decide matters.


I'm with Janie but in the fact of false allegations agains step parents to police Drs and cps. Family court I must say has been good to me. Maybe it's just my ex and I get along. I think when judges hear trembling voice that indicates lies. Shouting indicates domestic violence and need for control. Like I said been pretty good for me. She'll ask for more $ I ask proof y. She shows I agree I take to sports and whatever else. If her and husband are busy u step in and assume the role it's my job. No questions asked like y or where will u be bc it's not my biz. My biz is the kids


Word of advice: if you marry someone with children DO NOT comingle any of your assets. Remain financially single, or you will be supporting kids that are not your own.


The fact that, in LA anyway, fathers must submit to interrogation by the person who is the DA but called something else, without representation by attorney or accompanied by anyone, before going in front of the judge, who is also called something else and who has the power to make judgement in the case, and who is invariably a man hating female. Men go in open to doing the right thing and come out suicidal. None of this is in the best interest of the children.

its the perfect phrase for what my partner is goin through as the ex has said she could make his life difficult and the only way to do this was to stop hin seein his little girl as she she knew it was the only to get to him. And then the lies started un court and the judge was very on me sided. Its an awfuk situation to be in. And my thoughts are with any father not being able to see his child. Its the child that suffers!!!

That contempt of court was dealt with in a serious manner you don't follow your court orders you go to jail.


Accountability. Start suspending judges and lawyers and gals who blatantly violate rights and arresting people for blatant perjury in a very public manner and I assure you after a few of these and most people will think twice about violating your rights.

Verification of Facts over Fiction. I personally have dealt with some scenarios where The Court Lets People Say Anything with substantiating (Checking) the facts. Completely providing false information without consequence. If you lie and waste the state, family and childrens time you should held in contempt Prosecuted

Open them up. No more closed court. They do what they do because they know no one is watching. Commission someone to regulate the judges conduct. Let the media in.

Don't allow the children to be re located half way across the country for the reason of,"the mother wants to live in Oklahoma" as opposed to where the children were born and raised (Washington State).


I can support father's that aren't heard properly, but then there are one's that lie to be heard and really hurt the child not the mother's. I live thru that now.

I often wonder if maybe in place of one judge, that there should be a tribunal of sorts and that evidence could be presented at any hearing in place of "waiting for the trial".

Keep it out of the courrs completely! Unless absolutely it is the last resort. Have the mpther father sit down with a majastrate go over the terms until an equal ground is met. Includes visiting child support etc etc...then once both parties AGREE.... the majastrate will then see if either party wishes to have a KEEP AWAY paper in to ... instead of a restraining order an order that simply states mind your own business only talk about matters that is about the children. U borh had the child u both have to love and raise it


That they listen to both sides and make a judgement that is best for the kids, not just the CP

"best interest of the child" in CT is to keep them with their mother, unless you can prove it isn't. I would change this to keeping them with their Father, and having the mother have to prove otherwise. Maybe then it wouldn't be so lopsided here.

They are not Mothers. They are evil sick individuals. Mothers do not treat their children this way. Do not give them the title of Mother as it really is only for those that are deserving of such claim to the title.

I feel for you I have been and am there.

Fast forward in 2010 my ex secretly filed for divorce, had me served, and a week later filed a false report to evict me from my own house for 4 months, not allowing me to see my girls.
Divorce finalized 2011, a year later getting the "minimum" standard of time. Christmas 2011 was the last ti... access page ...

Fast forward in 2010 my ex secretly filed for divorce, had me served, and a week later filed a false report to evict me from my own house for 4 months, not allowing me to see my girls.
Divorce finalized 2011, a year later getting the "minimum" standard of time. Christmas 2011 was the last time I had any meaningful time with then 14yr old daughter.

Since then I have seen her approximately 10 hours. (683 days and counting).

Youngest now 12 still spends time, and sometimes it's quite normal, sometimes awkward, but I never get an extra minute, makeup time, nor do my girls reach out to me. Most phone calls go unanswered. Girls are being alienated, yet they can't see it, don't believe it, and are encouraged to "do what they want". Most recently I discovered very nice pictures of my now 16 year old, and was immediately blocked on Facebook. My girls don't even barely know their own fraternal family.

I've fought for 4 years to be part of their lives, and I'm exhausted and done with the courts.
How does a father deal with the acceptance of this and move on? Every day it tugs at my heart, and while I cannot give up, I must somehow let go.

It's been 150 long days since I was alienated from my son. We have a settlement conference on Joey's 2nd birthday on November 4th. I would be lying I I acted like it doesn't make me sad that my little man cannot enjoy his birthday with his family. My final hearing is November 22nd and hopefully b... access page ...

My final hearing is November 22nd and hopefully by then Joey will have his Daddy back. 

I only want my son to have a mommy and a daddy like he deserves.
